FBI Psychics – New Ego

The hosts of a hit US TV series ‘Haunting Evidence’ are poised to solve yet another crime. Many individuals have wondered when the trio would step forward and come up with another line of enquiry in the Madeleine McCann case. On closer inspection, most of the information, if not all of it is old news. The claims by the two psychics are supposedly groundbreaking, claiming that they are going to solve the McCann case and help bring her home. This is just as questionable as the belief in the man and the moon or goblins. Perhaps this is coming from a need to help but when you look at all the evidence that they have presented, you would be forgiven for thinking that it is pure Ego. Most of the evidence has already been in the public domain, but what if such a small overlooked clue surfaced that could break the case? We would bow down to their gifts. Let’s face it though; there are many of gifted individuals that wish to help for the right reasons and never step forward unless requested to do so by the family. However, playing the atrocious crime out on TV – while keeping the case in the public domain, is nothing more than a thirst for further fame. The web is full of claims from psychics offering clues and information obtained from out there is the psyche ether.

We must ask ourselves if this is helping and should psychics follow a proper procedure to pass on information to the necessary authorities before playing it out on the big screen. The latest evidence is of course an image of the individual that supposedly took the young child in the middle of the night described by the duo John Oliver and Carla Baron. I am not one for attacking psychic mediums or the work that they do for the authorities, after all I am one of them myself. In contrast, I do think boundaries should be drawn when dealing with the emotions of a family that are still in torment. This case could have been dealt with in a more productive and secretive manor without having to parade it as a ‘Haunting Evidence’ Show. So far the McCann’s have received 1,500 offers from psychics hoping to find Madeleine and you have to ask yourself, is this from the heart or a need to be the biggest name in the new-age world? There have been so many promises, and the McCann’s have been down more lines than a train station.

We must also ask ourselves if there is a higher purpose here and that perhaps this case is just the one to bring to the attention, the plight of families who lose children to stalkers, crime syndicates and pedophiles. There is another side to the coin and many would claim that there is a reason for everything, when the time is right either Maddy will return or there will be a finality to the case. Maddy is not the only child to have disappeared right under the nose of the parents, there are many who are still missing and of course another hypothesis is that the above case is just the catalyst that is needed to lead us to the many who are lost.
